Garden

Yemi Edun CEO Daniel Ford

With the lockdown entering into its sixth week the importance of outdoor space particularly your garden has risen. Your garden has the potential of becoming the most serene space in your home. A recent report from Rightmove, the U.K's largest online property portal suggests that searches for homes with gardens are at record high levels this year.

A well maintained garden can add up to 20% to your property value and renters are willing to pay more for a home with outside space. According to Zoopla, half of Britons think a well-designed garden is as important or more important than a designer kitchen or bathroom.

First impressions really do count. Kerb appeal is a major draw for buyers and front gardens are most certainly a unique selling point in the London market. They’re rare in the capital, particularly in the centre of town.

Having a private garden has become a highly prized possession during the lockdown as It's one of the few spaces where you can enjoy the outside space. The recent good weather has propelled this feeling.

A well manicured lawn is a child’s dream, the children can runaround with adults at rest of their safety. Separate buildings or sheds containing kitchen and/or dining space outside the house are becoming more popular as portable Barbecues make way.

Overall, gardening regularly is proven to be good for you, what’s better than getting fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle whilst making your garden a lovely environment you will want to spend time in.

Your Garden is an investment into your health, your well being and your returns from your property.
