Gardening and Coaching - 3rd series

In my 3rd series of “Gardening and Coaching”, I wish to highlight for you, that like most gardeners and coaches, we all like to see that once someone begins to make changes in one area of their life, that there is a ripple effect.

Why? For me, it's about the person gaining a further understanding of not having a busy mind, a way of understanding how life is and the game of life.

Coaching like gardening produces a reproductive effect in the garden. I see coaching helping all of us and yet there are those who need that support and others who don’t. That's ok for me.

There are those of us who enjoy the concrete jungle of a city and the others like myself who enjoy the beauty, smell and the sound of nature.

Like in gardening, my coaching requires energy, but at the same time it energises me and my clients. Gardening produces lots of colour throughout the season, so does my coaching in life.

The Coaching that I give bears fruit, to those who are courageous enough to try it. I like to use my tools for coaching, which is about turning up, being authentic and listening and asking the questions to allow things to grow within yourself and even myself.

What I wish to share with you, is the analogy of me (the coach) and the hired person (you) who comes in and helps with my garden to create something that I did not see before. You see, we are always being coached on a daily basis. It’s up to us to be the owner of that experience, to be the observer and to choose if we wish to take charge of this experience or let it go.

So, in my simple way… You can decide what the garden looks like, how much to plant and where. You are in charge. It’s your garden for you to enjoy… I am merely there to accompany you to grow and create what is possible for you in your garden.
