The garden of anecdotes #1
I remember my very first day at a hard disk repair center in Reynosa on 1999, I remember all the hard work needed to succeed. One year later at the same company I had the chance to work for another production manager, the challenge at that time seem scary, this 'new' guy came from a very different cultural background on which the focus on the job and the patience used on the analysis of the operations was part of the foundations needed to succeed on his team. I must admit at the very start was the misconception of someone with the indian culture somehow 'disruptive' after the years working with only american managers. As the days passed by, this new way of work for managing operations became part of our daily life, and years laters after being admit on his work team I must recognize him not only as a mentor but also as a friend.
Somehow life work on very subtle ways, sometimes the paths needed to be take doesnt have the greener fields at the start, sometimes it is needed to reinvent yourself, (sometimes it is needed to reinvent yourself and your world first), after this is done, your life will be aligned to the future events on which you will be able to work on a multicultural world.
What I can say now is, that I have a profound respect to Indian culture, their people and their values. Life I am going to be subtle with you this time . . . Let me visit India!
