Garbage Matters

Not all interviews are made equal. In this Garbage interview, with lead vocalist and songwriter, Shirley Manson, recorded back in July of 2001, I am audibly the fanboy.

Often heard rambling and stumbling over my words, she graciously pulled me through what was then post-ironic times for a band not labelled ‘cool’ because they actually cared.

My foibles and fumbles aside, listen to just how seamlessly Shirley separated, as she put it: “the sh*t from the bull”, at a time in music that was filled with a lot of the same and only one, oxymoronic, Beautiful Garbage.

Thanks, all! Some really important people in my life told me what I did, all those years ago, still had value and was worthy of sharing. Your support confirms what they clearly already knew. Thank you, again. Much more to come :-)
