The Gap Stage

The Gap Stage

The "Gap" Stage

The gap stage is when a chapter in your life is ending, and a new beginning is on the way, but it isn't here yet. When you go to see a Broadway show, you have act 1, intermission then act 2.

Just like a show, you are in the intermission between your last chapter and the new chapter just about to begin.

When you are at this gap stage, it's time to pause.

Stop fighting and pushing to get to the next chapter.

There is a purpose for the gap phase, a purpose for the pause.

It's a time to re-evaluate and see what parts of your life are no longer in alignment with who you want to be.

What changes do you need to make? Is it time to pivot?

Release what is no longer serving you this can include beliefs, habits, routines, people, etc.

Sometimes things change quickly and what was working 6 months ago is no longer serving you today.

If we don't purge, we stay stuck.

We can't let the new into our lives without removing what is no longer working for us or bringing us happiness.

You will feel fearful. All change and the unknown causes anxiety.

Acknowledge it. Embrace it. It is completely normal and temporary.

With fear and shifting comes growth.

Growth leads to new chapters, opportunities and possibilities.

Such an important reminder! These in-between stages offer a chance for growth and self-discovery. It’s all about using the time to reflect and align with your next chapter!
