  • Bethesda’s Indiana Jones will?feature ?both first-person and third-person mode. According to an XboxEra’s leak, there will be some specific sections for former and some for latter. “I will just say it's a mash-up. It's unique. It isn't one thing, intentionally, so it does a lot of different things that the folks at Machine Games and I have wanted to do in a game. So it's a unique thing,” said Todd Howard, Bethesda’s Executive producer, hinting that the rumour might actually be true. The game is tentatively scheduled for 2024, so there is still a lot of time for further development and decisions.
  • Sony has revealed the overall?budget ?for The Last of Us Part II and Horizon Forbidden West. Both of them cost more than $200 million dollars to develop, even surpassing much of the movie industry. Both games sold 10+ million copies, so it was well worth it for Sony. • Payday 3 will run on Unreal Engine 4 when it?releases , confirmed Starbreeze, the game’s developer. However, as they announced, the game will be updated for Unreal Engine 5 “some time” in the future, enhancing the graphics of the game as well as bringing new visual effects. The long-awaited sequel to 2013’s Payday 2 will be releases this year on September 21 on PC and all current-gen consoles.
  • Microsoft will no longer develop games for?Xbox One . “We’ve moved on to Gen 9,” said Xbox’s chief Matt Booty, referring to the newest generation – Xbox Series S|X. Sony is doing the same, at least with its blockbuster games like God of War or Horizon. The last entry to the big PlayStation franchises that released on PS4 was God of War Ragnarok, which released last year in November.
  • The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 will?release ?on October 24, 2023, Konami announced. The collection will feature MGS 1, MGS 2: Sons Liberty and MGS 3: Snake Eater.
