A Gaming Enthusiast and IT Administrator by Profession- Abdulrahman Shareaa’s Forsati Journey

Abdulrahman Shareaa is a 24-year-old Bahraini Forsati ITG Graduate, a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, a Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate and a born leader who enjoys learning about Cloud Computing and the latest trends in the IT world.

In his spare time, Abdulrahman also volunteers and organizes national initiatives, such as Youth City 2030, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also admires cars, as he used to be an official Marshal in Bahrain’s International Circuit during one of the Global Car Race events- Formula 1.

Abdulrahman first came across the Forsati ITG program during his senior year at the University of Bahrain where he was earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science.

The Forsati ITG program, a joint initiative between ThinkSmart, Microsoft and Tamkeen provides young Bahraini Senior IT Students, Fresh IT Graduates and Jobseekers an opportunity to kick start their IT careers by offering complementary Microsoft Professional Training and Certification for them to pursue in demand IT-careers, Soft Skills Training for Professional Development, Mentorship sessions with leading Industry Experts to enhance their industry knowledge and a 3-month paid internship with Top companies in Bahrain and across the region.

Abdulrahman who is a gaming enthusiast, was a not only a Senior Computer Science Student, but was also the president of the College of IT Society at the University of Bahrain from the year 2017 to 2019. During his time as president, Abdulrahman enabled himself to participate in various local and global events such as Lego and Vex Robotics competitions to name a few. The event and competition supervisors were able to take notice of Abdulrahman’s leadership spirit and management skills from the get-go and gave Abdulrahman the opportunity to join the Training Team and train the contestants himself.

This opportunity left Abdulrahman determined to learn more outside of his university curriculum, and it was fair to say that this was only the beginning for him. During his presidency in the College of IT Society, Abdulrahman was first introduced to ThinkSmart by his IT professors and not only was he keen to start his IT career with the Forsati ITG Program, but also encouraged fellow members of the society to join the program too. 

Abdulrahman Starts His Forsati Journey

Abdulrahman has always had the passion to learn more about Cloud computing and Server Management and joining the Forsati ITG Program not only fueled his passion for Cloud Computing but gave him an opportunity to understand the job market before stepping foot in it. 

Throughout his Forsati ITG journey, Abdulrahman was fully committed to successfully achieve his Forsati Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Professional Certification, gain valuable knowledge, and learn best practices from the Soft Skills Training and Mentorship Sessions that allowed him to have an in-depth understanding of the job-market and how to build his professional portfolio to make him stand out during interviews. “I applied for a university internship and the first thing that caught their eye was my Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Certification because nowadays Cloud Computing is in high demand which made me standout”. 

Abdulrahman also reflects on how the internship opportunity he achieved after successfully completely the Forsati ITG program motivated him to take up another training course with ThinkSmart. “To have been noticed the way I had during my interview because of my Microsoft Certification, motivated and drove me to also attain yet another certification in Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate through this program”.

Abdulrahman Starts His IT Career

Abdulrahman dedicated multiple hours towards learning and developing his technical skills and only wants to attain even more Microsoft certifications to keep himself up to date with the latest trends and best practices through the Forsati Program.

Throughout his Forsati ITG journey, Abdulrahman has not only earned multiple Microsoft Certifications but has also developed the skills and knowledge which has in turn allowed him to be exactly what employers are looking for.

As of today, Abdulrahman is an IT Administrator at The New Link Business Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. After his successful journey, Abdulrahman has advice for anyone looking to start their IT careers,
