Gaming for Cause

Last week, I had the honour of attending AMD Headquarters in Markham, Ontario, as a prequel to the Quest III Charity Marathon, presented by AMD, in support of The Princess Margaret Hospital Quest to Conquer Cancer . Here I got to meet so many wonderful people from both Princess Margaret Hospital and AMD, brought together in their joint effort to aid in their mission to conquer cancer in our lifetime.

Now in its third year of fundraising, the Quest III Charity Marathon kicked off on December 5th and will run through to December 10th.? Thanks to Twitch streamers such as? @TheRatingterror, @Giancarlo DadBodsUnited, @Brozime, @Aungelecette, and many others, the Marathon has already raised over $250,000 of the set $300,000 goal in the 4th of the 6 day marathon!

The Quest III Charity Marathon is a fundraiser for cancer research. During the event, people can donate to streamers who are partnered with the Princess Margaret Quest to Conquer Cancer. The funds raised through Quest enable researchers and clinicians to extend their knowledge and care, as well as discover ways to improve the cancer experience and give hope to cancer patients in Canada and around the world. It’s a cool new initiative for streamers to help promote their cause through their streams.?

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation is a world leader in stem cell and cancer research, patient survivorship programs, and image-guided therapeutics. It’s home to more than 360 health professional students while researching over 200 types of treated cancers. With over 500 partnerships and centres all around the globe from Italy, to Jordan, India, Spain, China, Kenya, Brazil and Germany, The Princess Margaret cares for over 18,000 people each year.

Donations can be given either directly to https://questtoconquercancer.com/donate or can be donated through partnering streamers. You’re not just donating to research, but also to the care and treatment of those affected by cancer. With the funds raised, scientists and clinicians can continue their research as well as the opportunity to study every individual’s needs during the cancer-treatment process. Every bit helps!??
