End to legal battle between Seminole Tribe of Florida and West Flagler Parties
A longstanding legal battle related to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s gaming operations has come to an end.?West Flagler Associates, LTD, Bonita-Fort Myers Corporation, Southwest Florida Enterprises, Inc., and Isadore Havenick have entered an agreement with the Tribe whereby they won’t pursue any future litigation related to its gaming operations.?On top of this, the Seminole Tribe of Florida and West Flagler Parties have agreed a deal which will see them offer and promote wagering on Jai Alai on the Hard Rock Bet app, with the launch expected for early 2025.?Read the full article here.
Nevada reports $1.3bn in total gaming win for September 2024
The Nevada Gaming Control Board has reported the state’s gaming results for the month of September, which saw an increase in total gaming win and slot machine revenue throughout the period. Total gaming revenue was reported to be just over $1.3bn, an increase of 3.34% from the prior year period. Slot machine revenue accounted for almost $897m of the total gaming win generated during September, an increase of 10.1% year-over-year. The state did report a decrease in gaming win from table, counter and card games, however, as the sector accounted for nearly $416m during September, an 8.8% decrease from the prior year period.?Read the full article here .
Churchill Downs reports net revenue record of $628.5m for Q3 2024
Churchill Downs (CDI) has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2024, reporting record highs in numerous categories including net revenue, net income and adjusted EBITDA.?CDI also officially opened a new resort in Dumfries, Virginia on October 23 that will include 1,650 historical racing machines and a 102-room hotel.?The Rose Gaming Resort will host a grand opening ceremony on November 7 to celebrate the debut of the $460m facility.?Read the full article here .
