New York State reports $2.32bn sports wagering handle for October
The New York State Gaming Commission has published its mobile sports betting results for the month of October. Last month, the Empire State set a new high for its sports wagering handle, which reached $2.32bn. Though reaching the $2bn high water mark is not a first-time feat for the state, the surge in activity when compared to last October’s handle was enough to beat out the record high previously set last November. Flutter cuts net loss by $148m, reports $3.2bn in revenue for Q3 2024
Flutter Entertainment has released the company’s financial results for the third quarter of 2024, reporting an increase in revenue and adjusted EBITDA while decreasing its net loss from the prior year period. Total revenue increased by 27% year-over-year to reach $3.2bn during Q3 2024, while adjusted EBITDA managed to rise by 74% from the prior year period for a total of $450m.?Read the full article here .
Penn Entertainment posts $1.64bn in Q3 revenue
Penn Entertainment has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2024. During the period, the business reported nearly $1.64bn in revenue, reflecting a slight increase when compared to last year’s third quarter results. Penn posted a net loss during Q3. However, its quarterly net loss was far less than what the company reported a year ago. Net loss during Q3 totaled $37.5m, a dramatically lower number than its Q3 2023 net loss of $725.1m.
