NIGC reports record full year gross gaming revenue of $41.9bn for 2023
The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) has released the full-year gross gaming revenue numbers for the fiscal year 2023. The $41.9bn generated in 2023 is a record number for the NIGC and represents a 2.4% increase year-over-year. Acting Chairwoman Sharon Avery and Vice Chair Jeannie Hovland made the announcement at the Wisconsin Gaming Regulators Association Summer Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin. "This year's gross gaming revenue results demonstrate how a strong regulatory framework and diversity of tribal gaming enterprises generates growth in the gaming industry,” Avery said. Nevada generates $1.32bn in May gambling revenue
The Nevada Gaming Control Board has released its May gambling report. Revenue statewide reached $1.32bn during the month. Overall state revenue rose by nearly 2.5% when compared to results from a year ago. The state has brought in more than $1bn in total gaming revenue for the past 39 months, according to the report. So far this fiscal year, Nevada gaming has brought in more than $14bn in win. When compared to the same period last year, this figure represents a nearly 4.5% increase in activity. Ohio reports 37% year-over-year increase for May sports betting handle
The Ohio Casino Control Commission has released the sports betting figures throughout the month of May for online and retail operators in the state. Ohio reported a total betting handle of just over $611.6m for the month, an increase of 37% year-over-year.
