Mobile gaming is far larger category than just YouTube is

Thinking about mobile gamers? They are not kids, playing in their bedrooms. Digital Turbine points out why advertisers should shift more of their ad spend from walled garden platforms to mobile gaming.

Advertisers are missing out on potential customers by not harnessing mobile gaming ads. According to Digital Turbine, 33% of consumers spend more time mobile gaming than on walled garden platforms.

With the right data, you can easily target mobile gamers in your target market.


Advertising focus on gaming ads

Gaming is now a category worth a closer look. And it should be one of the important channels for reaching customers. Just take a look at GroupM’s Global Business Intelligence unit research.

The analysis revealed that the gaming ads revenues expanded to just under $7 billion in 2023.

And now is about "triple the size" of the global cinema advertising marketplace.

It looks like it’s time for looking for the right gaming segments to target, isn’t it?


Roblox building walled garden

Roblox is going strong into advertising. It is developing a walled garden for advertising by centralising ad buys in its own platform.?

Gamers’ profiles and the community are a valuable group, so Roblox is going to monetize these audiences.

Large brands invest heavily in gaming advertising. They can also target their audiences with data, both on desktop and mobile devices.
