The project is a journey that counts the stars within the night sky, “within and beyond”. It draws interesting parallels with Ingress; an augmented reality game that involves players interacting with real-world locations; leveraging the power of spatial intelligence to enhance the exploration within and beyond our physical space.
Context and Purpose
The Sahel region faces numerous challenges, including climate change, poverty, and limited economic opportunities. However, this region also has vibrant cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and a deep sense of community. Gamified tourism offers a unique opportunity to tap into this potential, promoting sustainable economic growth, cultural exchange, and environmental stewardship.
The success of this project lies in its ability to blend technology, real-world exploration, and community engagement, creating immersive experiences that transcend traditional tourism.
