Gamification Sales Training with Ambition, Hong Kong

Gamification Sales Training with Ambition, Hong Kong

It has been quite a while since my first few years in a recruitment role and spending the day with the consultants from Ambition, Hong Kong. I would say, this bunch of people are upcoming stars embarking on a career in this field, and it was really refreshing to spend the day with them. We focussed on topics such as Closing Techniques for clients, Masterful questioning using a Probing for Pain technique that has been specifically tailored to the recruitment industry. We even managed to fit an exercise on the benefits of gaining exclusivity with both clients and candidates all whilst playing a sales board game.

Closing is the easiest part of the sales process if you have built rapport, presented your best candidates who are aligned with what your client is looking for. Yet, many recruiters are reluctant to close because they fear the client will reject their closing attempts and the relationship will be damaged in some way.

Therefore, your attitude towards closing needs to be positive and confident. Ambition, Hong Kong nailed it today, bringing bags of enthusiasm to the game and working really well – conquering the brain teaser energizers and showing what a strong team they are.

The winning team on the day was Team WAN with some close contenders with Team Awesome and Team Penguin.

The day required a high degree of interaction and healthy competition from the team, and they came out of the day having learnt new techniques to improve their knowledge of the sales process. As I had promised beforehand, there was not a Powerpoint slide in sight and there was definitely a lot of laughter!
