Games Job Fair Spring 2023 Adds New Content, GFT Guests in Women's History Month Webinar

We have been busy buzzing bees at Games Factory Talents lately, and you finally get to see the results! Games Job Fair Spring 2023 is just around the corner, and we have so much fun content and activities planned!

Talks, panels, challenges, workshops, we've got a super packed schedule for April 26-28. Our Hybrid day returns on April 28th, now hosted at the wonderful Technopolis Innopoli 2 campus in Espoo. It will feature onsite talks (also livestreamed for our online participants), workshops, lunch, and a super cool afterparty at HypeHype Inc. HQ!

Unity and UX Challenges Enter the Game

In a "why not both" move, we bring two new challenges for you. Thomas Winkley from Unity has joined us with a super cool task for you to complete in our Unity Programming Challenge , inspired by the UN Global Issues list.

Redhill Games are bringing an entirely new and exciting one with a UX Design Challenge . Your task is to create Quests in any genre, and based on any idea you like!

Shiny New Unreal and Art Challenges

Ari Arnbj?rnsson and Epic Games return with another smashing Unreal Challenge , and this time Ari will be a judge as well as the panel host! We make the prompts for the Programming Challenges live on Monday (27.3), so keep your eyes on our website!

For artists craving new things from our Art Challenges , good news, everyone! We've got Prop Art for Ursula’s driveway in Merge Mansion, Environment Art (any kind you like!) for Baba Yaga’s hut in the woods, and you get to design the scene of your dreams for our Lighting and Composition Art challenge.

hyperPad Hosts Women's History Month Podcast with Vasia Tolou as Guest

In other exciting happenings on the GFT front, we had the honor of being featured in a special 'Webinar Panel Interviewing Strong Women in the Game & Tech Industry' by hyperPad , a tool for building mobile games or media-rich interactive apps with no coding required. Our Digital Marketing Specialist, Vasia, was invited by Clarissa Moreira, Marketing Manager alongside Tarja Porkka-Kontturi , Hendrikje Wagner , Warda Rashid Khan , and Mafalda Duarte

The panel talked about the difficulties of making and maintaining a career in games and tech as a woman, the need for encouragement and support of women from a young age and throughout their career path, changing industries and having a later start, and much more.
