Television is now an indispensable part of our lives. We are dependent on it to provide us with the daily dose of entertainment. Earlier there were just a few series and even fewer channels but today we can choose from a wide range of channels and numerous shows. But some shows have the power to captivate people more than the others and one such show which made a sensation is Game of thrones.

Based on a book series “A song of ice and fire” by George R. R. Martin the series revolves around 7 royal families and their fight to secure the Iron throne of the kingdom of Westeros. The series is full of violence, gore, explicit and intimate scenes and touches several taboos like incest, sodomy and animal violence. It also features some mythical and fantasy creatures like dragons, white-walkers and witches. The show is a full package with a brilliant screenplay and talented actors. However, some people are deterred to watch the show because of the explicit content; besides this the show is totally worth the watch. So, if you are planning on to start a new show Game of thrones will be advisable since it is the best show on the T.V. indisputably.
