GAME OVER

A few days to my last paper had been adventurous; moving from night club to parties, and different places on campus to catch fun with my friends knowing that this might be the last time we would have time to hang out; although the last paper was the hardest subject, it does not seem to baffle me. I had been an average student, I barely had a "B" in any exam, though I never had?a "carry over."

??The examination day approached, I barely read the course for two (2) hours throughout the whole semester but I had this feeling that I cannot fail. The exam was in the morning by 8:00 am. I sighted Charles the most brilliant boy in the department, haggardly trudging to the examination hall, people were taking pictures, some were gisting, the school atmosphere looked very lousy with many people who wanted to write the paper, the exam was a general paper.?

?I moved closer to Charles and hailed him. I said cheerfully:

?"Boss!!!, I raised?my hand, like a thief that is about to be arrested by the police, no be so life be ooo, e fi read everything, you no remain shishi, way your pickins fi read"

?His mouth jerked into a grin, he spluttered "na you be boss na."

?"Don't forget your pickin ooo, I no get anything for head" I said jokingly as we entered the examination hall, but I meant it.

?After 5 minutes, a man entered holding the exam paper with some people following him. He was a man in his late 50's, he was short, dark, and huge. His name is Professor Oyewole Adam, but is popularly known as "Mr. No Nonsense" he had been very strict, especially during examinations, which made some students develop hatred for him.

The exam paper was distributed, I hurriedly glanced through the questions, the Mathematics question looked Greek, I quickly turned to my friend, John, his face looked dull and nervous, he was also whispering to the guy behind him, I quickly whispered to Joy, " Joy,?Joy...,?she marched her eyebrow in sardonic inquiry and huffed, her lips sewn in a grimace, and she spoke aggressively "what happened" she stared at me and I said "I knew number two(2) just tell me number one (1) answer. I knew it, but I don't know how to put it down, she waved her hands in annoyance, the prickly feeling of fear crawled up my spine, I became restless, I then remembered Charles, I gaze towards him but he looked concentrated, he did even faced up for once. I stealthy brought out my phone and search for the question, without knowing that the supervisor was staring at me, he then ranted,?"you there, what are you doing stand up!!!," peppermint soaked in cold water ran through my bone down by feet, I was shivering, I hadn't be caught cheating, though I have done it severally. As he moved closer to me a cold sweat filmed my body, everyone gazed at me, it was like the ground should open and swallow me, he then yelled "what are you doing with that phone."

?I became breathless for some seconds, then I sputtered hmm, I..I.., I had an important call from the hospital, because my mother was hospitalized and I am the only daughter, have mercy on Sir, I lied.?

?Hand over the phone to me I did it sluggish, I thought within myself game over. He then ranted to unlock the phone, immediately I unlocked the phone, It then display the site where I was checking the answer.

?Will I be expelled...??? will I have an extra year...??? will he forgive me??? the thought filled my mind.
