It is no secret - your ICP is being bombarded by advertisements, calls, texts, emails and now even videos in 2024!

There is SO much noise.

Prospects hate "salesy."

Sales reps are frustrated.

They want to break through the noise.

How can you be more confident in your sales outreach?

We are going to break it down today.

The Difference

Why it is so important that we recognize what has changed:

  • gives us an understanding of how to adapt
  • allows us to find those gaps and fill them
  • let's us be better sales people overall


What To Change?

  • small talk - we want to have minimal small talk with prospects, it is never genuine
  • generic cold call openers like "permission based" or "this is Chad from Salesforce"
  • add in = pattern interrupts, such as "asking for help" in a confused tone


You are curious, but is your prospect?

You are told to be relentlessly curious in your discovery, but is your prospect becoming curious?

Rejection could be a sign that they are not.

No worries, here is what to do:

  1. Change your tone. Different questions require different tonalities to be effective
  2. Slow down, ask questions at a slower pace
  3. Make sure you ask thought provoking, specific questions
  4. Do not talk features, unless specifically asked

Breaking through the noise in 2024 is NOT easy

However, it can be done...

Start with the above as a springboard

This will allow you to not sound nearly as salesy

This will allow your prospects to become curious about your solution

This will make you money
