"It is your choices far more than your abilities that make you who you are" - Albus Dumbledore
I cannot even begin to talk about how much I think about this quote from HP and how much this one quote has shaped my life.
Choice.
If I have to distinguish human beings from other species, I will define us as "the creatures of change,''
For almost every other species, nothing significant changes about their life; they are born, learn their ways of survival, reproduce, and die.
If you look at it from one perspective, you will find that a life of a human being is pretty much the same.
But if you look at it from another perspective, the possibilities of change that one human being can create in the world are immense; it is sometimes not even quantifiable.
That's why I say; Human beings are creatures of change.
What makes them creatures of change?
Choice.
We can choose, in pretty much any moment, in any situation of our lives, we can choose to change, or we can choose to stay the same.
The only problem that comes when humans do not change is that they do not grow, they are not in sync with the flow of life, and the whole of creation and nature is about change.
When you choose to stay the same, you are up against so much, and then the only problem you have becomes the root cause of all your problems., which at times
1.) does not seem like the only problem
2.) is a much bigger problem
That's the best thing I have found about my life, where I am; it's not because of my abilities but my choices.
1.) To choose to write, there was a time when I couldn't articulate a single sentence.
2.) I choose to face my fears, I choose to be courageous.
3.) I choose to do what I love and enjoy doing.
4.) I choose to let go of my limitations.
5.) I choose to forgive people who hurt me.
6.) I choose to let go of my judgments.
7.) I choose to trust the process.
8.) I choose to believe in myself over and over again.
9.) I choose to become disciplined.
10.) I choose to always grow.
I make these choices when things are going right and when things are against the odds.
The best part is that now I can see how many more choices I have, and I continue to make these choices every single day.
If life is a lifelong learning process, so is making choices.
Having a choice is empowering, for it comes naturally for humans to overcome challenges; this is what we are here for.
To choose to grow, to choose to love, to learn, to choose to become a better, kinder version of ourselves.
Who you choose to be is much more important than who you are, for you are the creature of change.
Who you think you are is an identity based on ideas you started believing a long time ago; it's time for an upgrade.
Who do you choose to be?
Our choices can inspire others to make positive changes and ultimately create a ripple effect of growth and transformation.
It's important to remember that our choices have consequences, and we must take responsibility for them.
Sometimes the most difficult choices are the ones that lead to the most growth.
Stepping outside of our comfort zone and taking risks can be daunting, but it's often necessary to achieve our dreams and reach our full potential.
It's important to recognize that we are not defined by our past choices and always have the opportunity to make new ones.
We have the power to rewrite our story and create the life we truly desire.
At the end of the day, our choices are a reflection of who we are and who we want to be.
By choosing to live with purpose, integrity, and compassion, we can create a life of meaning and fulfillment.

Remember, you are the author of your story, and your choices are the pen that writes it.
What would you choose?
Question of the week
In the last newsletter, I asked the question, "What inspires you"?
Here is my answer,
Okay, so what inspires me??
Wow, it's difficult to answer because there is so much.
If I answer this question every day, I will come up with a different answer every day.
To begin with, what inspires me the most is simply life, just how it is, in all its dimensions, of all the things it consists of, of all the beauty and the curse, of all the mystery there is.
What else inspires me?
It has to be exploration.
To me, it is the most natural part of being human.
It's one of the reasons I am so inspired to learn and grow too.?
It all comes from exploration,?
And then keep getting deeper and deeper.
What inspires me the most is that innate ability to explore the world inside out.?
I think it is one reason I am in so much love with life.?
and
It keeps getting better each day because I keep learning and growing; it is never stagnant for me, no matter what's going on the outside.
Question for the next newsletter,
How would you define acceptance?
Book of the Week
I was always an adventurous and sporty kid.
During my engineering days, I realized that,
I want to live a life of extreme adventure.
I always found myself very keen to do all the adventurous stuff - trekking, mountaineering, skydiving, etc.
But,
The whole idea of adventure took a new turn when I read this book.
What if I have no idea what's going to come in my life?
I just go with the flow and let all my plans for anything fall apart, and I just go on with the plans life has for me.
Whatever it has to offer, I will accept it with open arms.
I learned that no matter how big my plans are, they are somewhat conditioned by what I have seen, what I have known, and what I can think.
What if I let life decide on how to go about this and keep getting amazed at every step?
Isn't it even more adventurous?
Also, I learned that the real adventure wasn't out there; it was inside; it was about how I was going to live my life.
The real adventure was facing my own darkest thoughts and emotions.
I let go of control, let go of trying to become anything. And, now, I don't know what can be more adventurous than surrendering to life and witnessing its magic unfold little by little.
Until next time
Love and Cheers

1 年Wow, this is really interesting. I mean, it changed my whole perspective on how I was going to move forward in my life, be it personal or professional. I have always feared change, but I have overcome this fear in the last few months and have witnessed the kind of growth I am experiencing as an individual by embracing it. It's interesting to learn that you gave a new perspective on finding adventure within oneself. I think it's something I should start employing. This was a good read :)
