Gallery Particulier: Reflecting on a Season of Growth and Transformation
Gallery Particulier
Gallery Particulier exhibits art works directly in people's homes.
This past quarter has been filled with exciting developments and new beginnings for Gallery Particulier, notably the addition of Justin Freeman as our co-Executive Director. His leadership has reinforced our team. It has allowed us to make large progress on "The Lab"—a project poised to play a critical role in reshaping our community’s engagement with the arts. Through new partnerships with art leaders and community activists, we are laying the foundation for future initiatives that will deepen our impact.
Strengthening Community Connections
A core part of our mission is to bridge the gap between artists and our local community. Most people aren’t frequent gallery-goers and don’t have artworks in their homes. We decided to address this gap with a raffle that encouraged residents to host art prints. The results have been heartwarming, with people embracing art in their living spaces for the first time! This initiative reinforced the importance of making art accessible and integral to daily life.
We also deepened our engagement through a series of community events, such as block parties, storytelling sessions, and the “Let It Fly” raffle. Each event served as an opportunity to connect with our neighbors and foster meaningful dialogue and creative expression in our community.
Exploring New Event Formats
This past quarter was also a time for experimentation, as we explored new formats for community engagement. Our storytelling games, queer self-expression workshops, and other innovative programs created safe, welcoming spaces where participants could freely express themselves. These events have also provided us with valuable insights into how we can continue to foster creativity and dialogue in our community. We are grateful for the contributions of all those who attended and shared their experiences

Expanding Our Reach and Securing Support
We are proud to announce that Gallery Particulier has been awarded a grant from the Puffin Foundation. This will be instrumental in supporting our upcoming programming. While there are still hurdles in accessing certain funding, we are determined to build a sustainable foundation for our growth. Our goal is to continue building a strong foundation for growth, while staying true to our mission of making art accessible to all.
Besides, we’ve strengthened our social media presence to raise awareness and share our journey more widely. This increased visibility is critical to raising awareness of our work and inviting others to join us in our mission. We gratefully accept (100% tax deductible) donations:
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, we’re excited to host more events, including community meditation sessions and collaborative art experiences. We are always exploring partnerships and funding opportunities to support our mission.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. We are grateful for your support and look forward to sharing more updates as we continue to grow and evolve.
Sincerely,
The Gallery Particulier Team
