The Gallagher Way, Tenet 23

We are a warm, close Company. This is a strength—not a weakness.

The Gallagher Bassett Gentle Bear has been a symbol of warmth and love for many years. He was born in Australia residing in Police and Fire vehicles to be on site when children are involved in traumatic experiences. But in the past few years he expanded his presence as an ambassador of care and comfort for children all over the world.

In early April, Caryn, a long-time employee in one of our Southern California offices, sent her own Gentle Bear to a friend to give comfort to his 24-year-old son during this time of great stress. The young man is of Differing Abilities and removal from his support systems outside the home made the days difficult. A week later, this kind, Gallagher employee also sent art supplies to the young man because she knew that he enjoys drawing and painting. The painting you see below is the result of that effort; the young man’s Father said this kind gesture made all the difference for his son.

Gentle Bear

Once we get back to the new normal, this painting will be on display in our headquarters as a testimony to the love and kindness that our people express every day. We like to say, “We put lives back together,” and we do exactly that. There are over 34,000 Caryns in our Gallagher Family; tell me about one of them who you know.

Not surprised as Caryn Siebert is an amazing person and one I have been lucky enough to work with.

That's what holds it all together and promotes the loyalty and teamwork we have seen first hand through working with you in Australia
