Galactico or Rock-star?

Rock star and "Galactico" are terms often used to describe two different types of high-performing team members I believe that we only know who we are when we listen to the teams we were sent to.

A Rockstar is someone who consistently delivers excellent work, often independently, and excels at what they do. They are reliable, focused, and often content in their specialized role. So most times when a team recruits a Rock-star the pressure is on them to deliver?

A Galactico is more than just a top performer—they are the superstar who not only excels individually but also elevates the entire team's performance. They are leaders, visionaries, and game-changers who thrive on collaboration and pushing boundaries.?

How do you know who you are?

Let's do this simple question check

When you were employed aside from all your letter of employment introduced you, how did you show up to your team, like a showman or the team player?

To transition from a Rockstar to a Galactico, focus on expanding your influence within the team.

This involves:

  1. Leadership and Mentorship: Begin mentoring others and taking on leadership roles that allow you to guide the team.
  2. Collaboration: Increase your collaboration across different departments, helping to unify and strengthen the team.
  3. Innovation: Proactively contribute to new ideas and strategies that push the organization forward.
  4. Visibility: Share your successes and knowledge, ensuring your impact is recognized beyond your immediate role more importantly ask for help you never go wrong with that.

Becoming a Galactico is about going beyond individual excellence and becoming a pivotal force in the team's success.?
