Gal Gadot's Powerful ADL Speech

We all adore Gal Gadot . She's one of the most incredible humans on the planet.

Gal Gadot has become one of the most famous actresses in the world, but never forgets her roots. That she's Israeli. That she's Jewish. That she's a wife, and Mom to four girls.

We will confront antisemitism but won't let it define us, because our love is stronger than their hate.

Here she is speaking up at the Anti-Defamation League , making being Jewish cool again. Setting a good example for other Jewish celebrities and all of us.

She spoke about how her grandfather was the only member of the family who survived the Holocaust. How he came to Israel with nothing, and built a life here. And despite the horrors he experienced, he always taught her the values of love, compassion, and tolerance. How you can't win anything with anger and hate.

Though she was aware of the rise in antisemitism everywhere, the events of October 7th and the Pro-Palestinian celebrations across America were a shock.

She went on to say that "none of us can ignore the explosion of Jew hatred anymore. We will confront antisemitism but won't let it define us, because our love is stronger than their hate."

The most beautiful point in her speech is how she found herself at the temple, in a synagogue, to deal with everything going on. This was where she felt comforted: "I felt the embrace of the Jewish people, and the power in the warmth of our community. And I will never forget that feeling because even though I was a long way from home in Israel - in a temple in Los Angeles, I felt at home, among family."

She continued: "October 7th showed us that what happens to Jews anywhere, affects Jews everywhere."

She spoke about the importance of supporting the community and "reach out to everyone to join in." That's what she teaches her girls.

"First to learn to love yourselves, who you are and where you're from, and then the rest will follow. It's time to pass onto our children a love of who they are."
