Gaining momentum on Education About Standardization

#Education is one of the 5 key topics in the #European Strategy about #standardization. The High Level Forum has created the Workstream 1 “Education about standardization” and one of its outputs is the overview of actions that all members are taking in this topic.?

As one of this initiatives, this end of September at DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V. Headquarters, colleagues from many countries are sharing best practices and relevant initiatives on education about standardization and its challenges.

One of the big common challenges is to make standardization attractive and games play a big role in doing so. Good news is that already exist many great games around the world to learn about standardization!

I also have the pleasure to learn about other games, like those developed by Magnus Hakv?g, Amelie Leipprand, #Kanelot by Kommission Arbeitsschutz und Normung (KAN), Serious NATO game or the challenging physical scape-room by Annette Frederiksen for IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and DKE.

Besides the serious games, we also hear from the #EDU4Standards project and exchange ideas (and maybe have a drink;-) with experts like Rudi Bekkers, Knut Blind, Ivana Mijatovic, Vladislav Fomin, Anna Gallet, Robert Link, Nizar Abdelkafi, Pernille Bengtsen, Claire d'Esclercs, Jelena Skokovic, Jolien van Zetten, Kirsten Glennung, Alice Polo , Nikolaos Myriounis , Annette Frederiksen , Bora Bülbül and many more colleagues and friends.

Overall, very intensive, productive and enjoyable days in Berlin!
