Gaggle Social Partners With Evertreen To Create A Greener Tomorrow

By definition, ‘carbon footprint’ means the total amount of greenhouse gases like methane and carbon dioxide, that are generated through our actions and the way we go about our daily lives. Gaggle believes the fact that everyone should do their part in reducing their carbon footprint. Some ways that we can do that is by avoiding fast fashion, reducing usage of single use plastic, green-friendly transportation like more carpooling, public transportation, cycling and such as well as turning off any lights you may not be using and more. Other than these. There are of course many other ways we can try to make up for lost time when it comes to the planet and offsetting the carbon emissions from our lives. Gaggle Social chose to not only follow some of these and other steps across our team but also started the Go Gaggle Green project.?

The Go Gaggle Green project aims to plant 1 tree for every 4 profiles created on our website which can be accessed by clicking here. Up until December 2022, we had planted 50 trees in Mexico, and 20 trees India. To further our green goals, we are proud to announce our partnership with Evertreen. To keep up with our growing number of sign-ups, Evertreen has been able to help us plant more trees in places like Kenya to begin with in areas that need trees the most right now and we will continue to do so with this partnership in similar areas and countries. Since the start of this partnership we have planted 100 trees through Evertreen, which contributes to the absorption 28,000 kg of Co2 and has produced 13 working hours for Kenyan farmers. Evertreen’s mission to alleviate poverty, offset Co2, and build a greener tomorrow is in line with Gaggle’s mission through Go Gaggle Green and we couldn't more excited to eventually reduce our pledge from 1 tree for every 4 sign ups to 1 tree for every signup. Additionally, Evertreen enables satellite tracking of the progress on trees planted and more data such as the one we provided above about working hours created, amount of greenhouse gases absorbed, and more like the state of the soil, growth status, photosynthetic activity, etc.
