GAFSP Success Story: $300M Raised at Replenishment Event Kickoff
About GAFSP: The Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) is a G20 initiative to improve food security in poor countries. Since 2010, it has provided over $2 billion in funding for agriculture projects led by governments, farmers, and the private sector.
The challenge
GAFSP engaged Digital Revamp as their marketing agency for the 2020 replenishment event to achieve several objectives: raise awareness about relevant issues, advocate for GAFSP, and support its resource mobilization strategy.
Our solution
The goals included positioning GAFSP as a key tool to reduce poverty, hunger, and malnutrition, and to support resilient and sustainable agriculture in low-income countries. They aimed to use social media to urge the international community to renew its commitment to fighting hunger and poverty, ensuring critical agricultural investments for smallholder farmers and their families. Additionally, they sought to secure $1.5 billion in funding from current and new donors for the 2020-2025 period.
We collaborated with the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) from the World Bank to develop their digital strategy for the Replenishment Period Kick-Off. Our contributions included conceptualizing the event’s look and feel, crafting their marketing strategy, and defining their messaging.
