"Gabriel's Oboe"

I finished this portrait last year and forgot to post it on Linkedin!

"Gabriel's Oboe" ? Michael Lane, 2020. Oil on Belgian linen - 16 x 21 inches. I painted this portrait as a gift to our son who graduated from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a Masters in Oboe Performance. This painting sat on the easel for months in an almost finished state while I remodeled our living room. It feels good to finally complete the portrait and give it to Gabe, who worked so hard to earn his Masters Degree and grow as a musician at "one of the nation's leading conservatories." (NY Times). Congratulations Gabe!
