G7 : Science and the Next Production Revolution
At their meetings this week in Turin, G7 Science Ministers confirmed the pivotal role of science in the "Next Production Revolution" -- marked by developments in artificial intelligence, nanotechnologies, new materials and genetics to life sciences, big data and data science. Further they identified policy guidelines aimed at concrete actions in the areas of human capital, financing, open science, and global research infrastructure, that will support science in addressing the challenges and maximizing the opportunities. Such discussions by the G7 can be a driving force in how Canada develops its next generation support for science. Stay tuned.
