Fyzabad Tears

Fyzabad Tears

By Christopher A. Din Chong

Over the years the Forward Ever Foundation had many stories that came out of our projects within the various schools and communities that we had the pleasure to work in. None were more powerful than at a movie making workshop in Fyzabad. After five hours of writing, shooting, acting and directing their own 1 minute movie the group of young people that worked on the project got in front of members of the village to screen it. A young girl (the main actress of the movie) got up in front of the group and hid her face when she saw herself projected on the screen.

She withdrew her hand to reveal a flood of tears; happy tears mixed with embarrassment. She never thought that she...a simple girl from a small village could be in a movie just like Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts. Stories like these and many more strengthen my resolve when things don't go according to plan and keep me focused on building positive momentum.

Great stories and even greater memories...
