Futures Radio with Trader Brad Jelinek!
This week my guest is Brad Jelinek! Brad Jelinek is a seasoned trader and investor, focused predominantly on S&P futures, occasionally trading fixed income and currency futures. Since his youth, Brad has been passionate about trading and solving the daily puzzle that is the market. Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003 with a degree in business finance, Brad single-mindedly pursued and landed an opportunity with one of Chicago’s trading firms. In his twelve years as a professional trader, Brad has developed a serious hobby, if not second-occupation, out of researching, exploring and adopting lifestyle practices that improve his health and longevity as a trader. From optimal posture to regular meditation, Brad has tackled the lifestyle challenges that plague him as a trader, and has worked restlessly to find solutions that work in his life. A ten-day meditation retreat, regular yoga, and an ergonomic trading station are only a few of the outcomes of Brad’s never-ending pursuit of a better trading-lifestyle. Today Brad and I will talk about the recent FOMC and GDP numbers and how he approached trading them. We will talk about the importance of using fundamentals and reactions to data with technical analysis. Brad and I talk about the importance of adapting to changing markets.
