Principles for Responsible Banking- Publications?
Finance, banking and investment sectors are among a few that play a crucial role in transitioning to a circular economy and hence need to be ready. Target Setting released by UNEP offers a pathway and indicators for banks to support circular principles and measure progress towards sustainability, enabling banks to provide financial products for increased circularity. Australian Biochar Industry 2030 Roadmap
The Australian Biochar Industry 2030 Roadmap, developed by ANZ Biochar Industry Group (ANZBG) is to be launched in Canberra on the 21st June. The roadmap is the first of this nature globally and provides a strategic direction for the significant scale up projected for the industry, supporting alignment of broader stakeholder interest and objectives with that. ?
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has recognised biochar as a Negative Emissions Technology (NET) urgently required at scale to remove carbon from our atmosphere, assessing its global mitigation potential at up to 6.6 Gt (10-15% of global emissions) CO 2 e per year. The?global market is growing, and is projected to be worth $USD 3.82 billion by 2025, showing a substantial increase from its 2018 value of $USD 1.48 billion, showing the potential for scale up of the industry.

The 11th Australian Conference on Life Cycle Assessment
Join the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS) for the 11th LCA Conference on the Gold Coast, Australia. The Conference will bring together climate and energy practitioners, green building designers, product manufacturers and suppliers, industry users of LCAs and EPDs, government, researchers and LCA professionals to network, learn and debate. The conference will take place on 19th-20th July 2023, with a variety of side-events and workshops taking place on 18th July.?More information can be found here.

Given that we only require a certain amount of energy per day, why have our portion sizes continued to increase over time? ?Portion sizes have increased, leading to obesity and waste.
