Futurebuild isn’t just a three-day event, it’s a platform that delivers content to the industry all year round with a mission to build a better future for our built environment. The event last month had 135 thought-provoking CPD sessions so it would’ve been impossible for you to catch them all. As disappointing as this may have been at the time, we’re excited to let you know they’re now all available to watch on-demand. The recordings are hosted on the Colab Professional Development platform in partnership with ACO, so go on watch the ones you missed, watch them all again, share across your company and relive the amazing event that was Futurebuild 2023!

On-demand sessions from Futurebuild 2023

We’re excited to announce that all of the on-demand content from Futurebuild 2023 is now available to watch (you can even watch sessions from the 2022 event)! Relive world-class content from across all of the 9 stages, 500 expert speakers and 90 curators. Each brings expertise and clarity to the sustainability issues that the industry is grappling with. Take a look at what themes were covered across the 9 stages:

• Conference Arena stage?addressed taking a stand: looking forward, making a change and taking action.
• Buildings stage?covered all aspects of buildings including new build, refurb and retrofit across domestic and commercial projects.
• Digital stage?explored the process, outcome and benefits that digital construction provides during each stage of the full life cycle of a built asset from conception to operation.
• Energy stage?aimed to unite all professionals engaged in designing, specifying, supplying and installing services and products involving energy production and use.
• FutureX Innovation stage?was a new exciting edition to Futurebuild and was filled with amazing start-ups and SME's and their emerging ideas and technologies.
• Interiors stage?brought together professionals involved in housebuilding, commercial sit-out, student accommodation, social housing and the public sector.
• Materials stage?focused on the very latest advances and expertise in materials used in the structure of buildings, that will help reduce the lifetime carbon footprint, enabling specifiers to make the best possible material choices.
• Sustainable Infrastructure stage?explored all aspects of the city and surrounding city influences, acknowledging that increasing percentages of the population will live in urban areas and so these must be places that work for people.?
• Retrofit stage?looked at retrofit best-practices, solutions, technologies and services, that together can unite and strengthen the delivery of whole house retrofit at scale.

Futurebuild has optimism for the future

Across the three days, Futurebuild hosted over 17,800 visitors, 500 speakers, 400 exhibitors, 135 sessions, and 90 curators to join forces in creating a more sustainable future. With sustainability a more relevant topic than ever, Futurebuild’s expansive exhibition was specially curated to drive change across the entire supply chain through showcasing the best in innovative bioproducts and sustainable solutions throughout the whole event.

Futurebuild celebrated innovation through its established Big Innovation Pitch, which saw tepeo’s ZEB win the grand prize this year and Futurebuild’s new Big Ideas Pitch, which crowned startup Firstplanit the inaugural winner. Read the full piece here.
