Hi there everyone
Happy Fridays… If there’s one thing I’ve learned from over 20 years in the technology industry, it’s that the future of work isn’t something that’s happening to us—it’s something we’re actively shaping.
So its was a great honour to be asked to keynote the learning and development week keynote for the global brand Phillips and Signify . As they set to transform their company and evolve into the new industrial revolution. It was lovely to be asked by them to inspire their people globally online…
And this inspiration is needed more than ever as our world is changing faster than ever, driven by technological advancements, particularly in AI. And these changes are causing mass amounts of fear as well as excitement.
Because in the end, whether you’re ready or not, this change is here to stay.
Now, for legal reasons I can’t share the WHOLE keynote with you (but I will check with them about maybe some mini vids from it for another time...)
WHAT I can share some of the key ideas and themes from it..
And theses are…
Adapting to High-Frequency Change
Let’s be honest: change isn’t just an abstract concept; it’s the new normal. We live in a time where the average person will change jobs around 12 times in their lifetime, and for future generations, that number could rise even higher. Why? Because technology, especially AI, is pushing us into an era of high-frequency change.
But here’s the opportunity: by embracing these changes and merging our passions with AI, we can evolve in ways we never thought possible. This isn’t about survival; it’s about thriving in a world where adaptability is key.
The Power of Continuous Learning
In this fast-paced environment, continuous learning isn’t optional—it’s essential. We need to rethink how we approach our careers and our businesses. It’s not enough to simply keep up; we need to align ourselves with the ever-changing market needs. Whether you’re an individual looking to upskill or an organization needing to pivot, adaptability is your best asset.
I’ve seen firsthand how companies and individuals who prioritize growth and learning are the ones who stay ahead. They’re the ones who turn obstacles into opportunities, and that’s exactly what we need to be doing.
AI: Your New Work Companion
Let’s talk about AI. It’s not just a buzzword; it’s a force that’s already transforming industries. And it’s not here to replace us—it’s here to work alongside us. Imagine having an assistant who never sleeps, never gets tired, and is always there to help you perform at your best. That’s what AI brings to the table. (I know this is why I launched the www.aimarketingcourse.co.uk last year.)
Take the example of consultants using AI. Those who do are completing 12% more tasks, 25% faster, and with 40% higher quality results. These aren’t just stats; they’re a glimpse into how AI can elevate our work. It’s like gaining a superpower that allows you to focus on what really matters—innovation, creativity, and making a difference. Navigating the Era of High-Frequency Change
We are in a period of rapid change, and AI is at the heart of it. Which is why global brands want me to produce inspiring keynote for their people. Whether it’s generating art or improving patient care in healthcare, AI is advancing at a pace that’s hard to comprehend. And as it evolves, so must we.

In healthcare, for example, AI systems are now more empathetic in patient interactions than traditional models. This not only improves care but also frees up human professionals to focus on the complex cases that truly require human expertise. AI is not just enhancing efficiency; it’s enhancing the quality of our work and lives.
The Fifth Industrial Revolution: A Cultural Shift
We’re in the midst of what I call the Fifth Industrial Revolution. And here’s the thing: it’s not just about AI and technology. It’s about fostering a culture of innovation. It’s about blending human intelligence with artificial intelligence to create something more powerful than either could achieve alone.
Historically, revolutions were driven by advancements like steam, electricity, and automation. Today, AI is the driving force, and understanding how to harness it is crucial for anyone who wants to stay relevant in the future of work.
This moment of true high-frequency change doesn’t just present challenges; it presents opportunities. By merging our human passions with AI, we can achieve levels of efficiency and effectiveness that were once unimaginable. This synergy between human skills and AI is not just the future—it’s the present.
Preparing for an AI-Integrated Future
Adopting AI isn’t just about embracing new tools; it’s about understanding how to integrate AI into our daily lives and work. Recent advancements show that AI can even outperform humans in emotionally nuanced interactions. But remember, AI is here to augment, not replace, human abilities.
The future of work requires a balance between AI and human intelligence. Continuous learning and development in your workplace, around ideas like AI, will ensure that we remain indispensable in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Looking Forward
The future of work is not just about AI’s capabilities; it’s about how we, as humans, integrate these tools to enhance our performance. By leveraging AI, we can achieve more while focusing on tasks that require the human touch. Embrace continuous learning, nurture your emotional intelligence, and stay ahead of the curve.
The future is collaborative, hybrid, and purpose-driven.
Are you ready to be part of it?
Are you ready to evolve?
Is your business?
Yours sincerely
