The Future of Work and Virtual Reality
There is no doubt that Virtual Reality is increasingly becoming the "go to" medium to solve tough and even common training problems across industry. After all, VR is software, a fraction of the cost of equipment, poses little risk to users, and globally scalable. With those unassailable merits then, what are the drawbacks. What are vendors not telling you about VR? What are you not considering?
I'm looking forward to discussing some of these in my Flash Talk at the "Future of Work" Summit tomorrow at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
We'll also be running a VR Try Out Area in the Interactive Zone where you can chat with myself, and co-founder Nigel, try out some of our products, as well as other AR and VR gear and applications. Your chance to see what this is is all about, without the hype.
My short talk: "Ten Things I Wish I Knew About VR for Training Before Starting a Startup" will be a vulnerable, authentic, and hopefully entertaining remark on the business reality of Virtual Reality. There are some doozies for sure.
Definitely come by, we're passionate about bringing Experiential Learning to everyone and love to give people their 1st (and 1000th) go in interactive VR.
