Future Work Summit 2022 | State of Skills
Liz Jakubowski and Siobhan Savage shared insights from their work at the Future Work Summit in Adelaide and online on 9 March 2022. They were joined by Gaurav Kheterpal, Michael Bromley and James Windon for a discussion with Harry Godber.
The conversation was wide-ranging and considered what the data tells us and what trends are emerging. With increased competition for talent and a resetting of priorities by workers since the pandemic, we considered how organisations find the skills they need. We also discussed how they can uncover the skills their people already have, how they reskill those people they wish to retain and identify the talent they want to attract??
Finally, we noted that to secure better-paying jobs, Australians need to create the companies that produce these jobs and the confidence to develop the skills to do these jobs. So how are we connecting the dots to make this possible??
