Future work == remote work ?

Everyone talks about New Work, Future Work or whatever we call it. Of course, everyone is an expert in it, just as everyone is suddenly ??????? if you're sick, nutritionist if you don't eat ?? or life coach if you want to start your own business ??

What is New Work anyway? ??

Good question. XING SE recently renamed itself New Work SE and is uploading hour-long videos to YouTube. Today we'll be brief and discuss the most important points.

Everyone is aware that the workplace is changing. Many jobs are being automated and even replaced. If you are afraid now, you can get even more afraid here and see how long you can still work ??

We think that primarily tasks will be different. And that is something very positive! Because in the future humans must deal much less with “robot work” ?? . Much more creative tasks arise where strategic thinking and personal responsibility are required.

But what's New Work like? ??

I've got to set up the dramaturgy first, just relax! ????

Peter Drucker once said that the great task of this century will be to improve digital work, just as it was the task of the past century to improve manual work.

As already mentioned, the tasks of the future are much more creative and therefore all companies should definitely remember the following:

Creative people need a space for variety, relaxation and health, without corporate cancer.

After all the Lorem Ipsum, we recommend that New Work especially includes the following:

?? as few/no hierarchies as possible

?? enough freedom for employees to unfold freely

?? healthy food and casual activities

?? fair treatment, no racism, no gender pay gap

?? digitization and Remote Work opportunities

?? more bullet points and less text, lol

How Remote Work will enrich your life

It is obvious that Remote Work can fulfill many of the above points! If you can work from home or everywhere else in the world drinking completely overpriced coffee at Starbucks ?? ... and the very question you ask yourself: What better feeling is out there? To wake up in the morning and know that you don't have to sit in the car for hours and contaminate the environment (right Greta)?

?? Imagine you could take as much vacation as you want?

?? For arrangements and tasks you simply send videos and everything is settled?

?? This makes you much more flexible in terms of time and place?

All these points can be guaranteed by Remote Work. Personally, I like to schedule my day for myself, so I can have my morning routine much more open, walk with my pug ??, do yoga ?? and all the other hipster stuff.

I am convinced that many companies would have much happier employees if the working models were more flexible. The future of work is therefore not as uncertain as many say ??

So I suggest:

  • dismantle hierarchies
  • trust your people more
  • simplify processes (of course less bureaucracy!)
  • treat one another fairly
  • allow people to work from home (corporate communications will be our next topic, don't be afraid not to see your employees and colleagues ??)

Then we did quite a bit of work and created a "new kind of work" that doesn't only happen in Silicon Valley.

I think that describes pretty well which attributes all companies need to support in the future. We must not forget that many young people come to the market little by little, who have grown up without any constraints and with plenty of wealth. Therefore the requirements mentioned are not that high at all ?? 

Keep it simple, work together.
