The future of work isn't clear.

  • Do you really know how your Gen Z employees feel about the future of your organization?
  • Do you know who is the most fearful about technology - and how to overcome it?
  • Which of the locations your employees work from have the most positive mindset?

Lotsa questions. And we've got some answers.

The Integral Index is a national survey of US employees that gives us insight into key workplace issues and how employees feel about them. This year, in our Third Edition Integral Index, we look at some new angles of data such as the impact of company size and workplace hierarchy on employee behaviors and mindset.

For example:

  • Gen-Z employees are the most likely to say that their company’s best days are behind it. (Oh, boy...)
  • Workers in the middle of their careers (ages 25-54) express greater concern about technology than their older or younger colleagues.
  • Employees who work-at-home or work in a hybrid-arrangement are more likely to experience a positive mindset than those who work onsite. They are also more likely to feel motivated and empowered. (hmmm...)

But wait! There's more!

The Index looks at the relationship between leaders' behaviors, company values, and employee behaviors. We found that awareness of new digital tools varies by level of seniority, with some clues about how to jump those hurdles. And maybe not much of a surprise, but we're still navigating this new era of hybrid and remote without a shared compass. What is surprising are some of the insights.

So, we're inviting you to download our Third Edition of the Integral Index. It offers insights and observations, sure. And better yet, we also have some suggestions for what you might do - and how you might think about navigating the many, many changes to come. For data geeks, it's got plenty of data and charts. For people who drop into an immediate stupor at numbers, it's got takeaways at the end of each chapter.

More about The Integral Index

For the Third Edition of the Integral Index, we continued our partnership with The Harris Poll team led by Rob Jekielek and especially thank Jae Lee and Dany Galbiati. This year’s study also benefited from the inestimable guidance of Dr. Rita Men, a leading expert on internal communications, who helped us deepen our analysis and uncover surprising insights.

If you're looking to benchmark some of your employee experience data against a larger population, we've got the data to help you out. Have questions? We're happy to answer them.

Each year, we anticipate the arrival of Index data the way some people look forward to Mardi Gras. But instead of having a parade, we spend a lot of time squinting at data and picking out good photos. Hope you enjoy it!
