Mihai Criveti, Vice Chair of Technology, Open Innovation at IBM, highlighted the importance of carefully evaluating generative AI platforms before adopting them in organizations. He emphasized that organizations cannot simply use any generative AI platform without considering several key factors, including:
1. Training: How was the platform trained, and what data was used to train it?
2. Transparency: Is the platform transparent about its decision-making processes and outcomes?
3. Regulatory Compliance: Does the platform support regulatory compliance, and can it adapt to changing regulatory requirements?
4. Safety: Is the platform safe to use, and does it have appropriate safeguards to prevent potential errors or biases?
5. Customization: Can the platform be customized to meet the specific needs of the organization, and can it integrate with existing systems and processes?
By considering these factors, organizations can ensure that they select a generative AI platform that meets their needs and supports their goals.
