The future of work is changing
The future of work is changing and 2020 has seen many of us adapt to a new way of working. The initial working from home (WFH) has expanded to embrace work from anywhere (WFA), however, this has birthed a new era of webinar fatigue and added challenges of juggling our professional and personal lives in the same space.
The “Future of Work” report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (2020) reveals that 33% of us feel less innovative when working from home. 33% also felt because they are not as visible, their work is not as easily recognised, additionally, their career progression has been negatively impacted as a result. 61% of us spend more time in meetings than we did pre-pandemic and 32% reported a low ability to manage stress. Working remotely has many benefits, but it is revealing a whole new range of issues from loneliness, to increased stress and a sense of disconnection from our tribe or team.
