Future Trends in Personal Branding—Preparing for What’s Next

Welcome back to The Brand Advocate! I’m Vicky, your personal branding strategist, dedicated to helping female entrepreneurs build brands that stand out and attract opportunities. As we head into 2025, the world of personal branding is evolving rapidly. To stay ahead of the curve, it’s essential to understand the trends shaping the future—and how to use them to your advantage.

In this edition, we’ll explore the personal branding trends for 2025 that are especially relevant to female entrepreneurs, coaches, and service providers. Let’s make sure your brand isn’t just keeping up, but leading the way.

Deep Dive:

Future Trends in Personal Branding for 2025

  1. Authenticity Over Polish Audiences are craving realness. The overly curated, picture-perfect brand aesthetic is fading, making room for raw, unfiltered content. Sharing your challenges, failures, and day-to-day reality will resonate more deeply with your audience. Remember, imperfection doesn’t weaken your brand—it makes it relatable and human.
  2. Personal Brands with a Mission Values-driven branding is no longer optional. Your audience wants to know what you stand for—whether it’s sustainability, diversity, or mental well-being. Sharing your mission and weaving it into your messaging builds an emotional connection and attracts clients who align with your values.
  3. Micro-Influence and Niche Communities The power of niche communities is growing. Instead of trying to appeal to the masses, focus on smaller, highly engaged communities where you can become a trusted voice. Whether it’s a Facebook group, LinkedIn circle, or a private membership, these spaces foster deeper relationships and loyalty.
  4. Video-First Branding Video content will continue to dominate in 2025. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn are prioritising video, and audiences are consuming more visual content than ever. Whether it’s live Q&As, behind-the-scenes insights, or educational content, showing your face and voice humanises your brand and builds trust faster than text alone.
  5. AI-Enhanced Personal Branding It’s a tool that takes common place in our businesses now and can help to amplify your brand. From AI-generated content ideas to chatbots that streamline audience engagement, AI can help you personalise your brand experience and save time. However, with the rise of AI enhancement also comes the risk of diluting or damaging your brand through inauthentic interaction.

Spotlight Success: Grace Beverley

Grace Beverley, founder of TALA and Shreddy, exemplifies how to stay ahead of personal branding trends. She’s built a multi-faceted personal brand that leverages multiple platforms and mediums to engage her audience authentically.

Key strategies Grace uses:

  • Authenticity: She’s transparent about the challenges of running a business and balancing her personal life, making her brand relatable and trustworthy.
  • Mission-Driven: Sustainability is at the core of her brand, and she consistently aligns her content and products with this value.
  • Video-First Approach: From Instagram stories to TikTok, Grace frequently connects with her audience through video, sharing insights on entrepreneurship and sustainability.
  • AI Integration: Grace uses automation tools to manage her workflow (not to replace her voice or presence), freeing up time to focus on content and engagement.

Grace’s approach shows that when you embrace emerging trends and stay true to your values, your personal brand can thrive and evolve with the times.

Your Next Move

  1. Clarify Your Mission Define the core values and mission of your brand. Share a post or story that highlights why you do what you do and what you stand for.
  2. Create a Short Video Record a 60-second video introducing yourself, sharing a quick tip, or offering behind-the-scenes insights. Post it on LinkedIn or Instagram to engage your audience.
  3. Engage Your Niche Community Identify a Facebook group, LinkedIn circle, or niche community where your audience hangs out. Start engaging with valuable insights and connect authentically.
  4. Explore AI Tools Try an AI tool like ChatGPT to generate content ideas or streamline tasks. See how AI can support your branding efforts without losing your authentic voice.

Final Reflections

Personal branding in 2025 is all about embracing authenticity and connecting with purpose. By staying ahead of these trends, and getting clear on your legacy, impact and mission - you'll position yourself as a leader and build a brand that resonates deeply with your audience.

Which of these trends are you most excited to implement? I’d love to hear your thoughts and plans - let’s prepare for the future, together!

Until next time, Vicky x

Really enjoyed reading this Vicky Harrison ?? the element that really stands out to me, and something I think makes a real impact, is sharing video content...especially when it's not polished, scripted or curated! My best performing video is of me walking through the woods near my house with my dog, talking to camera about a new offer...I think there's something about hearing someone's voice that makes that connection...it's why I love to send and receive voice notes!
