Welcome to Day 8 of our 12-day giveaway, where you can win lots of prizes every day and our grand prize of the Amazon Tablet HD Fire. Be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel Shama TV for your chance to win. So trend number eight for 2016 that I have for you is: wearables. I know wearable technology has been around for a few years now but really, it hasn’t hit mass infiltration and is not something you see lots of people wearing.
Apple’s the iWatch is something that’s gotten close, but really we haven’t seen wearable technology take off the way we thought we would – but I think 2016 is going to be a turning year. Look for more mainstream companies such as Target, and different brands to start carrying wearable technology. Whether it’s a shirt that measures your heart rate, or it is jewelry, for example, that keeps you safe and has GPS locators. So really look for wearable technology to become more mainstream.
Alright that’s it for today, don’t forget to subscribe so you have your chance to win. Tune in tomorrow for trend number nine.

8 年Hello there Shama, I have been saying the same thing this for about 18 months too. I know that many tech companies are working with major designers and are looking at ways of incorporating technology into clothing and Google's glass & Apple watch was just the beginning. I have heard that Chanel, Dior, D&G, Prada and many more are working with, technology companies to create new product lines and wearable tech. This is an opportunity for so many small businesses and design savvy individuals, to start creating the modern and fresh products in the fashion/sportswear arena which can be licensed to multinational and global brands. I know that you are totally on your game when it comes to knowing trends and working with corporate firms and organisations. Thanks, for keeping us posted and up-to-date with what you think the trends are. Many Thanks, Rotimi Ololade
