Singapore – 26th January 2024 - Statue? Institute 家园学堂 has announced today that it has created 5,000 V.I classrooms on its Tack It!? – Resident NoticeBoard? app.? This kampung spirit (neighbourhood) app is currently available for download in App Store/Google Play, for 5,000 estates in Singapore.? Together with Estate-Data?, an EstateEconomy? ecosystem is in the making.? Enrolment begins in Q3, 2024.

Statue? Institute is founded on 15th November 2023 in Singapore by David Lim, bootstrapped.
?
Tack It!? – Resident NoticeBoard? app was first set up by David in 2018 to connect neighbours living in the same estate.? 30 estates were chosen for the beta version.? It was expanded to the full 5,000 estates in 2019.? However, the downloads were lukewarm.? As an entrepreneur, David did not give up.
?
He has now turned the tide by using this app for the delivery of lecture notes and assessments while keeping the basic infrastructure of the app intact.? 5,000 V.I classrooms are being created in 5,000 estates.? It has also given rise to Singapore’s one and only EstateEconomy? ecosystem for 5,000 estates.

When queried what EstateEconomy? (家园经济?) is about, exclaimed David Lim:

“It’s where money can be made in your home estate!”
?
This new economic terminology was coined by David in his first book “Why Aren’t You Having Afternoon Naps?” published in May 2019 (@ Kinokuniya/Popular/Times/NLB Singapore).

He added: “And now with the creation of 5,000 V.I classrooms, we are moving our V.I programs closer to 5,000 estates.? This will benefit students living in their respective home estates.”

It has made Statue? Institute uniquely a new “family” kind.? This is self-explanatory in its Vision and Mission statements which reflect the social responsibility as an education institute.? It also explains why the use of an unconventional tagline for an EduTech.

In sequence:
(1)? Vertical Growth comes from the identifying, adopting of new type of proven services and converting them into V.I programs to scale up onto the SAME 5,000 V.I classrooms.

(2)? Data Growth comes from the widening and deepening of its Estate-Data?.
?
(3)? Ecosystem Growth comes in tandem with the organic growth in the population and the number of estates in Singapore.

(4)? Horizontal Growth, lastly, comes from the expansion of V.I classrooms to four neighbouring countries. The respective Tack It!? - Resident NoticeBoard? mobile apps have already been set up and currently downloadable in App Store/Google Play in these countries.

These V.I classrooms are in Brunei’s 473 estates, Indonesia’s 273,000 estates, Malaysia’s 32,000 estates and Vietnam’s 97,000 estates.? Including Singapore’s 5,000 estates, a total of 407,473 V.I classrooms are in the pipeline.

Inquisitively asking why he did not include “Technology Growth” as one of the above which is a SOP for any Tech, and he replied:

“The use of tech such as state-of-the-art technologies is a basic ticket to entry.? Despite the current winter, further Tech investing is a normal progression for any Tech with deep pockets come spring and there is nothing to brag about.? AirAsia’s tagline – Now Everyone Can Fly, conveniently analogized.”?

He earnestly added: “The future of any Tech, must go beyond Tech.”

He is reluctant to comment though on the time frame of the above growth areas when asked.? Explained David Lim:
?
“As mentioned in my book on page 22, I am a very conservative person.? I am sticking to my principle of earning money, cent by cent, dollar by dollar, step by step, conscientiously.? Having said this, with proper branding and planning, I make things happen.”
