NO! THE FUTURE IS NOT TECH

They've come up with another lie and we are busy swallowing it, hook, line and sinker. Probably it's not a lie but a deceit or mistake. Whatever you want to tag it, know that the intention is to continue to keep you in perpetual darkness. And you may remain in that darkness except you seize the moment.

They say "the future is tech." My people, the future is not "tech" but the present. That is how our political class and military elites lied to us many years ago. They said "the youths are the leaders of tomorrow". We swallowed everything and waited for the "tomorrow". Isn't it the patient dog that eat the fattest bone?

Well, you're right. The patient dogs at times do eat the fattest bone. But only dogs eat bones, not humans. So you either accept you're a dog and wait, or you accept you're human and seize the moment by Training yourself for today and tomorrow.

Almost six decades later, the military elites who lied to us years ago are now in their 70s, 80s and 90s and still gripping on to power and national leadership. The then youths, now in their 30s, 40s and 50s are roaming the streets with brown envelopes looking for jobs, foods and other basic needs.

The world is thinking, talking, planning and producing "the flying cars". They are Making our petrol and fuels useless. The world is taking technology to the sun. They've already been to the moon. Africans have not been to the moon yet, not to talk about the Sun.

Africans are in their small huts and mud. They are playing, romancing, fighting and battling with cows and animals. They are talking and fighting about religion and ethnic groups. They are warring against each other for ancestral land. They call it RUGA to make it sound English.

Young Africans are fighting, killing and maiming themselves. They're playing useless and fruitless party politics. If you don't support their candidates or party, you are an enemy. They do these for political appointments. They are satisfied with calling fellow humans "Boss of life". They want to be PA to the PA to the assistant senior PA to the SA of the local government chairman.

The politicians must give them appointments. After all, they've killed and have hated people for them. The more enemies they have and the more people they kill, the higher their posts. Who doesn't like siren and police escort?

But how many people will be given appointment? What happen when the politicians are no more in power? You'll begin to kill and hate for another politician? Who told you that killing, maiming, hatred and politics is a career?

I think young Africans should wake up from this deadly slumber. We've been sleeping for too long. Who is thinking about "Africa Beyond Oil.

Oil price is falling because the world is building electric cars. Politics is not a career. Killing is not a profession. Maiming is a crime. The future is not tech but the present. Tomorrow is pregnant. Nobody knows what the future or tomorrow brings except those who do proper scan of their present. And the present is technology. You better join now or you'll be nowhere to be found tomorrow.
