The Future of a Successful Digital Business starts with SDN
Exciting research was released from Vodafone last week in a report: Building Trust in Digital Business. The report reveals businesses’ relationship with a key component of digital transformation: the network, and more specifically software defined networks (SDN).
As leaders, we know that in order to remain successful in the future, we must transform to make the greatest use of data-driven technology, while also building trust among customers and employees. It can be a complex balance to maintain, and in today’s world, issues with connectivity can lead to the loss of trust immediately. Reliable, secure and scalable networking has become a vital foundation for modern businesses.
In a recent blog on the report by my colleague, Unified Communications and Connectivity Director Peter Terry-Brown, he explores the dynamic between trust and data that ultimately powers the greater user experience.
The report examines the views of 1,891 business leaders in the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain and South Africa to understand how this critical element of the digital business can underpin performance – and consumer trust.
Overall, the report found that:
- The collection, use and security of data are now core differentiators for businesses, barometers of customer trust and clear indicators of success.
- Physical businesses are rapidly moving everything from infrastructure to customer interactions online. This is in response to the need to cut costs and better meet customer expectations.
- As businesses push more of their processes online and invest heavily in digital infrastructure, they’re taking steps to attract top talent, and training them effectively to make the most of these new tools.
