Commitment to Recycling: Recycling is the cornerstone of Laxcon Steels Ltd. sustainability initiatives. We use 100% recycled steel scrap along with the addition of ferro-alloys to meet grade requirements. This approach significantly reduces the need for virgin raw materials, conserving natural resources and reducing environmental impact.

Zero-Waste Vision: Our facilities are designed to maximize waste utilization, ensuring that solid waste is systematically repurposed. Additionally, a life cycle assessment of our manufacturing process and products has been conducted, further demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.

Adopting Clean & Green Technology

Innovative Technologies for Cleaner Steel: Laxcon has adopted advanced technologies to ensure eco-friendly production. As a testament to our efforts, we are certified with ISO 14001:2016 and have a verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) uploaded on the EPP portal. These certifications underscore our adherence to global environmental standards and transparency with our customers.

EU Regulation Compliance: For our European customers, we strictly follow EU regulations and conduct Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) assessments quarterly. Our carbon footprint currently ranges between 1.48 and 1.58 TCO2/ton of production, reflecting our ongoing efforts to minimize emissions.

Reducing Carbon Footprint

Sustainable Practices in Action: Laxcon actively tracks and reduces its carbon footprint through meticulous assessments and process optimization. Our CBAM evaluations and commitment to using recycled materials significantly contribute to lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

Collaborating for a Low-Carbon Future: By partnering with suppliers who prioritize sustainable practices, we encourage a low-carbon supply chain, further amplifying the positive impact of our sustainability initiatives.

Promoting Renewable Energy

Investments in Renewable Energy: Currently, around 30% of our energy is sourced from renewable sources such as wind and solar power. This percentage is set to increase significantly—by April 2025, we aim to use 75-80% renewable energy for our manufacturing processes through ongoing upgrades to our solar facilities.

Green Energy Advocacy: By integrating renewable energy into our operations, Laxcon is setting a benchmark for clean manufacturing in the industry. This initiative not only reduces dependency on fossil fuels but also aligns with global efforts to combat climate change.
