The Future of Speaking & Presenting

The Future of Speaking & Presenting

Speaking has been a valued profession for centuries. Orators were paid well and highly regarded. Even in today's society if you are referred to as an orator it is high praise. But now the future of speaking and presenting could be in danger.

Everyone thinks they can speak & present. Okay, not everyone but a vast majority of people believes they will do a credible job of speaking whenever they are called upon to do it.

Take the roles of Best Man and Maid-of-Honor. They are invited to do a talk about the bride and the groom. How many of those have you heard that seemed to go on forever and we were only too happy when someone said, okay! Great job now let’s get on with the music.

Why? Why do people do such a terrible job of speaking? Because we talk all the time and, after all, how hard could it be?

Well, ask all of the wedding guests. It can be very very hard – to listen! Ask all of the people attending boring meetings.

Why don’t we all want to be better?

What will being a great public speaker do for you? Why would I want to put myself through all of that just so I can say I did it?

Public speaking is a skill that rewards the people who can do it.

Being great in front of any crowd gets you massive respect. It delivers great confidence to you as the speaker. It gets you credibility as people see great speakers as more than just another person. They see speakers and that visibility creates opportunity, promotions, invitations. It also helps you be better at persuasion, better at listening and helps you drive change when you need to.

If these things are all true then why doesn’t everyone sign up for speaking lessons?

It takes effort, time, energy, and growth. You have to be open to critical assistance, learning new skills, and a time commitment.

But if these sacrifices brought you all of those rewards would it be worth it to you? Only you can decide that. Only you know what it would mean to you to be more confident, highly respected, more visible, and have more opportunities simply because you are a skilled presenter.

And now the new world factors in. The virtual world of speaking. New skills, new methods. New challenges.

Just like Hollywood actors often cannot make the transition to TV many speakers are not ready to make the transition to Virtual presentations and virtual training. It does take different skills. Many of them much more subtle and many of them much more obvious. But it takes training to create your success in the virtual environment.

And the VIRTUAL is here to stay. Far too many companies and businesses have seen the light and are wanting to keep high-priced office space to a minimum. Wanting to save on costly travel and lost time traveling the Virtual Presenter is fast becoming the most sought-after commodity of 2021.

Those who can present virtually, hold a meeting where people are actually listening, create an environment where people learn more easily are becoming the new highly paid business consultants.

Imagine no more boring lectures. No more boring meetings. No more boring classrooms.

Imagine highly engaged employees just because the leader has the ability to engage each and every classroom. Imagine how fast boring presenters will disappear from the companies who have put up with them up to now.

What skills do you need to learn to take your career forward and become one of the highly skilled, highly paid, and sought-after Certified Virtual Presenters? And why aren’t you learning those skills right now?
