Yesterday I had a great chat with Gina Schinkel , we originally connected over a piece she wrote predicting many new AI roles. We had 30 minutes booked in and ended up talking for around an hour and 15 minutes on the #futureofwork and #aiinsales.
It got me thinking what will be the new roles we see emerging in 2024.
Here is one idea...
AI Operations Specialist
Job Summary:
As an AI Operations Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our artificial intelligence systems that empower our extensive sales team. You'll ensure that our AI tools and infrastructure operate smoothly, helping us maintain our edge in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales AI Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for integrating AI tools into the sales process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
AI Tool Management: Oversee the operation of AI and machine learning platforms, ensuring they are tailored to the sales team's needs and are delivering optimal performance.
Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to understand their challenges and objectives. Use this insight to customize AI solutions that enhance their workflow and results.
Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to the sales team, helping them make the most of AI tools. Ensure they are comfortable and proficient with the technology.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of AI tools in the sales process. Identify successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Feedback Loop: Establish a feedback loop with the sales team to continuously refine AI tools and strategies based on real-world use and results.
Innovation Advocacy: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in AI for sales. Advocate for and lead the adoption of new technologies that can benefit the team.

Why would we need a role like this?
If you are keeping an eye on the market right now AI tools have exploded and I foresee this exponential growth continuing in 2024 and beyond. It can be overwhelming. Also, the use of AI in any company should come top down. Otherwise, without clear rules around data and governance, things can get messy very quickly, and the last thing you want for your brand is a data breach from a well-thinking SDR who connects something to your CRM.
I would love to know what ideas you have when it comes to new roles in 2024, I am so excited about the future.
