??? Social Commerce is #eCommerce conducted via #Social #Media platforms.

??? #Meta-#Commerce is the next evolution of both, conducted in the evolving #QAIMETA economy, as explained below.

?? SOCIAL COMMERCE

Social Commerce

??? By browsing and shopping on social media platforms, consumers can complete purchases without leaving their favorite social media app. Social Commerce thus offers new ways for brands to reach and engage shoppers.

??? For example:

? #Instagram #Live merchant “influencers” can live-stream to introduce and sell products to fans in real time. Brands can also create a digital product catalog, with customers buying directly on the app or on the brand’s own eCommerce site.

? Not to be left out, #Amazon #Live’s live-streaming feature enables brands and creators to stream product demos and other innovative content.

??? With people spending lots of time on social platforms, demand for these shopping features is building, especially among Gen Z. In the USA, Social Commerce topped $45 Billion in 2022 and is forecast to reach $80 billion, or 6% of total eCommerce by 2025.

??? In effect, Social Commerce merges #marketing and #retail channels into a single dynamic universe, making promotion far more effective. As such, the #customer #journey is moving outside brand-owned channels.

??? Eventually this will be how #Metaverse #Commerce evolves in the QAIMETA economy.

?? META-COMMERCE

Meta-Commerce

??? Meta Commerce is rapidly evolving, and brands need a strategy for that also.

??? A key principle for Meta-Commerce is #interoperability, or the ability to take products or information content across multiverse platforms.

??? At present, the Metaverse’s Mixed Reality (#MR) is a blurry line between physical and digital goods. #NFTs are the prime example, and I doubt that NFTs will prevail because, after all, you cannot truly “own” a “virtual” product, building, or piece of land because they only exist in one’s imagination.

??? We also still need #Quantum #Computing and #Smart #Glasses to make the systems work super-fast and in a user-friendly way. But we are getting there.

?? QAIMETA STRATEGY

??? To take advantage of both Social Commerce and Meta-Commerce, brands need to take at least 2 steps:

? Shift to Brand-Led Accounts.

Brands can draw consumers to their own channels with engaging and innovative live streaming of compelling content. #Nike, for example, has 234 million followers, thanks to its star athletes. And it has already built a successful #Multiverse.

? Build an Interactive Customer Journey.

Brands must shift from text-and-picture shopping to #live-#stream content with shopping-tag-enabled posts and an immersive #Metaverse customer experience (#CX).

?? IN SUM

??? Brands and retailers that fail to grasp these shifts will be left behind, just as did those who failed to adopt eCommerce.
