Future-Proofing with Web3: Highlights from the Future Proof Tech Summit 2024

Last Friday, October 11, 2024, I attended the Future Proof Tech Summit at The Podium, an event that brought together some of the sharpest minds in tech and innovation.

Here are some highlights:

• The event was a collaboration between the Department of Information and Communications Technology - Philippines and the Blockchain Council of the Philippines. It aimed to dive deep into how AI and blockchain are shaping the future.

• It was incredible seeing such talented people from the Web3 space take the spotlight, each sharing insights on how we can future-proof industries. The speakers and panels were packed with valuable takeaways, and it was refreshing to see everyone so engaged, soaking in all the knowledge. The event wasn’t just about talks though—there were raffles, cosplay showcases, and media activities to keep the vibe lively.

• Kaia Labs Limited was also part of the action! Our very own Paulo Caperig took the stage for a panel discussion on DeFi, explaining why it’s such a crucial piece of the puzzle. He shared how Kaia is on the hunt for perfect DApps for LINE NEXT Inc. Messenger and why Kaia Wave will be a game changer for Web3 development.

• I had the pleasure of reconnecting with some old friends like Allen Amparo and Christian Ballada from HPL Game Design Corporation —they’ve been pioneers in Web2 gaming, and it was great to see them venturing into Web3. I also met Jose Antonio Mendoza , the Country Manager of Bitget , the ever-charming Angeline Viray from Suzuverse Philippines , and finally met Mark Delgado too . Truly inspiring people pushing boundaries in their fields.

Overall, the event was a huge success, and I want to give a big shout-out to the Blockchain Council of the Philippines Chezka Gonzales Donald Patrick Lim for inviting us. It was great sharing insights and learning from others. Here’s to more collaborations and innovative projects ahead! ??
