Talking with a coaching client this week. He showed up to our call “stuck”.
He was having a tough time processing the settlement news, and decided that he and the team we going to simply "tune out" and just stay focused on "selling the heck outta some real estate". And you know what? He was half right.
Here's the deal: he is totally correct in that, at the end of the day, massive success can be found in controlling the controllable.
So whether it becomes harder, not harder, or frankly, simpler to earn commissions these days, what is still totally true is that the more people who see us as their trusted local real estate pro of choice, the stronger our year (and career!) will be. Full stop.
Now, the part he didn't get right? Our clients expect us to deliver the MMM, the "Market of the Moment Message". Meaning, we DO have to know what's going on. What people are saying.
How the wranglings are wrangling. Since the cases and settlement negotiations are still active, by definition, none of us know precisely what to do yet, it's unknowable.

(Note: what we ALL should lean into is disclosure and transparency-- that hasn't changed). Yet our clients MUST see that we are paying attention, up-to-speed. And not just about home values and interest rates. Everything else too. Everything.
We can't tune it out.
So let's take action. Let's commit to staying on top of the conversation, and to leading the best practices discussions, no matter how this ends up.
